The Government suspend containerized cargoes :«The main problem of Ukrainian container terminals is the total inspection of import and transit containers. Ukrainian Government's initiative on simplifying controlling measures for containerized cargoes has failed. The Ministry simplifies the transshipment of cargoes at the ports :«The Ministry has accepted several resolutions on simplifying transshipment of cargoes at the ports. The cargoes processing at Odessa Maritime Trade Port has decreased at 20% dutins January and Februar :«According to operations data, in January — February 2009 cargo processing at Odessa Port has decreased at 1,145,400 MT which makes 20 % in comparisson with the same period last year. The total quantity of the processed cargoes this year is 4,616,400 MT. The containers transportation at Odessa Port during January — February 2009 made 41,354 TEU, which is at 35,067 TEU less than at the same time last year (or at 46%).»

Ukraine determines the conditions of PGK :«The state administration of railways transport of Ukraine (»Ukrzaliznitsa") has determined the price conditions for PGK railcars which will go through the territory of Ukraine with transit cargoes. Transit and the ports: not bad so far :«During 2008 at the ports of Russia, CIS and Baltic countries 16 million tons of transit cargoes were processed. That makes 10 % more than during year 2007. In particular, Russian ports have processed 3,9 million tons ( 2 %-increase), Ukrainian ports — 7,9 million tons ( 34%-increase).
